FlexeByte BookWA ("BookWA", "we", "us") is a WhatsApp-first appointment booking platform operated by FlexeByte for small businesses in India. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use our website, dashboard, and WhatsApp booking services.

2. Data we collect

• Business owners: name, email, password (hashed), business profile, services, staff, and availability you enter in the dashboard.
• End customers: phone number, name (if provided), booking history, and WhatsApp messages processed to complete appointments.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage logs for security and reliability.

3. How we use data

We use personal data to:

• Provide booking, reminders, and dashboard features
• Route WhatsApp conversations and AI-assisted replies
• Improve platform security and prevent abuse
• Communicate with business owners about their account

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We share data only with service providers required to operate BookWA (e.g. hosting, Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, AI providers) under appropriate agreements.

4. WhatsApp & messaging

Customer messages are processed via Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Businesses are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from their customers before initiating WhatsApp communications. Message content may be processed by AI services to facilitate booking — configured by FlexeByte on behalf of the business.

5. Data retention

We retain account and booking data while your subscription is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise data within 90 days unless law requires longer retention.

6. Your rights

Under applicable Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting privacy@flexebyte.com. End customers should contact the business they booked with; businesses can export or delete customer records from their dashboard.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we continuously improve our safeguards.
